SpiderWoman
by Ted L Glines

Come my darlings - come to me,
so many dreams and visions to see,
come - let's play all through the night,
singing and dancing til dawning light.

I'll tell you a story and maybe a rhyme
to spin you to sleep in the muse sublime,
you'll never leave - you've sipped my brew,
come to my arms - I'm waiting for you.

My magick spell is breathing your name,
so come and play my heavenly game,
come to me now - for it is willed,
and all of your dreams will be fulfilled.

I made Creation only for thee,
the stars and the planets for you to see,
the eagle and salmon - mountain and lake,
all these boons for your pleasure to take.

Cleanse your body - open your soul,
once incomplete - I will make you whole,
come dance with Wolf in my web of truth
and relearn the ways of eternal youth.

Rejoin The People - dancing free,
flying the spiral - coming to me,
no more confusion - no more to roam,
at last my Sibling - you're coming home.

Singing and dancing til dawning light,
come - let's play all through the night,
so many dreams and visions to see,
come my  darlings - come to  me.

Author's Notes: "Navajo-Spider Women,  a sacred being  who taught the Navajo how to weave blankets so  they could survive the cold  during their winter in North American.  Long before people wrote them down,  legends passed orally from  one generation to the next, so many different  versions of Spider  Woman's story exist today." --Shi Dine Chat

Struggle
by Ted L Glines

Your life is difficult and painful
daily struggle - nothing gainful
same old push to earn your pay
for bills that never go away
you cannot ever get ahead
new days only bring you dread
and you might wish that you were dead
... put yourself on pause my friend
...... time to seek a better end.

You're not a puppet on strings
you have a choice in all these things
... let's sit down and do the math
...... see what's wrong with your path.

Make a list - "Good" and "Bad"
what makes you happy - makes you sad
and check your life - where do you stand
against that list in your hand
chances are - you'll see that you
have picked the path of "Bad" to do
and it is clearly understood
you're free to pick the path of "Good"
... don't be scared of a change
...... you're always free to rearrange.

Your list of "Good" will show a way
to walk a better path today
a path of happiness and cheer
a path of gain throughout your year
and your esteem will bud and grow
with success - you'll fairly glow
and with this choice you have found
you will turn your life around
... and if it's scary to do
...... our brightest blessings uplift you!

Author's Notes: If  the path you walk in life is  choked with briars and pitfalls,  and you cannot make any progress, stop. Just  stop and pay attention.  Like many people, you may be struggling more than  God/Goddess  intended for you to do. Pick yourself up and choose a better path.  Do it now.

Soldiers' Christmas
by Ted L Glines

Creeping through the silent night,
Things that move are things of fright,
Sleighbells never ringing now
Angels seldom singing, now
Nothing comes to make their season bright.

(Chorus)
Ring the bells and praise the Lord
For our soldiers' love outpoured,
Post their names upon your tree
As they fight to keep us free,
Remember ... their gift forevermore.

Helicopters - guns and tanks
Moving now in guarded ranks,
Not a bit of Christmas cheer
That must wait 'til Home next year,
Since their only present is your “Thanks.”

(Chorus)
Ring the bells and praise the Lord
For our soldiers' love outpoured,
Post their names upon your tree
As they fight to keep us free,
Remember ... their gift forevermore.

Now with many flags unfurled
Boys and girls from 'round the world
Lift their voices - battle cry
Bound to win or bound to die
Brave young heros all - to chaos hurled.

(Chorus)
Ring the bells and praise the Lord
For our soldiers' love outpoured,
Post their names upon your tree
As they fight to keep us free,
Remember ... their gift forevermore.

Here at home with Christmas cheer
In this fun time of the year,
Let's pause a bit from what we've planned,
Singing songs - with praises ... and
Send a loving hug to soldiers dear.

(Chorus)
Ring the bells and praise the Lord
For our soldiers' love outpoured,
Post their names upon your tree
As they fight to keep us free,
Remember ... their gift forevermore.
